Tweens / Teens

Students currently in grades 6 through 12 are invited to attend one of two identical meetings to get a sneak peek of our 2025 Summer Reading Program, “Level Up!Registration is limited and required, and participants will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Unfortunately, we need to cancel/postpone the May 22 meetings. Registrants will receive further information if the meetings are rescheduled.

Meeting Dates:
Thursday, May 22; 1:00 – 1:45 pm* The 1:00 pm meeting is full.
Thursday, May 22; 6:00 – 6:45 pm*

Meeting Overview:
+ Discover what “Leveling Up” involves this summer for tween/teen readers;
+ Hear about special events planned specifically for tween/teen participants;
+ Review the online application to become a library volunteer;
+ Build a LEGO video controller (to keep!); and
+ Enjoy munchies and more!

Students entering grades 7 through 12 interested in volunteering at the library this summer (but who are unable to attend one of the three May meetings) should contact Mrs. Amy Oberts, Youth Services Manager, at (309) 726-1103 during library hours.
