Come help us celebrate Rhonda Johnson’s 15+ years of excellence and service on February 6, from 4 to 6:00pm. We wish her all the best in a well-earned retirement!

Break Into Books Bingo – a Winter Reading Program for all ages – will run December 1 through January 5. Pick up a Bingo sheet at the library and read to cross off your squares. Cross off five in a row to win a BINGO BOOK prize! You can win up to 5 BINGO BOOKS! Turn your Bingo sheet in at the library desk by January 5.

The Puzzle Swap Cart is back! Take one, leave one!

We are pleased to offer a Winter Story Time series for preschool children ages 3 to 5 years, featuring seasonal stories, songs, fingerplays, and hands-on activities. Online registration opens Wednesday, December 20 at HudsonAreaLibrary.com. Registration is limited and required, and participants are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. Two 40-45 minute, identical sessions are offered Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm or Friday mornings at 10:30 am (January 11/12, 18/19, 25/26, and February 1/2, 8/9, 15/16). A parent or guardian must remain in the building while Story Time is in session, and regular attendance is encouraged. These welcoming sessions offer warmth and excitement in the midst of the cold season!

Visit the homepage to register your family to decorate a Gingerbread House on Saturday, December 2, at 2:00pm! Gingerbread house kits will also be available for pick up if you are unable to attend in person. Please reserve your kit for pick up on December 2 by registering at HudsonAreaLibrary.com.

Mayhem will ensue on Saturday, January 6, at 6:00pm at the Teen Murder Mystery—The Bloodwood Masquerade! Online registration will open November 27 on the Teen Advisory League page. Registration deadline is December 18. You will receive your part by December 22. Register early so you have lots of time to plan!

Are you reading the Caudill and Bluestem Award nominees? The Caudill Voting Party for 4th-8th graders who have read at least 3 nominees will be Friday, February 9, at 5:00pm. The Bluestem Voting Party for 3rd-5th graders who have read at least 4 nominees will be Friday, February 16, at 4:00pm. If you’ve read enough books, sign up with a librarian to receive an invitation to the voting parties!
