StarLab Planetarium Shows

June 13 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm

**All four StarLab shows are now full.**

StarLab is a planetarium-like experience that allows participants to travel through space and time. Once inside the inflatable dome, visitors enjoy a 360-degree view of the sky. Sitting on the floor causes celestial bodies to look close enough to touch. Participants can easily view the craters of the moon or Valles Marineris, the Grand Canyon of Mars!

Register for one of four shows offered at Hudson’s Town Hall, located at 107 West Walnut Street in Hudson, IL 61748.

Important details to consider before registering:
  • Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied and directly supervised at all times by a parent or other responsible caregiver (age 14 or over).
  • Participants will be asked to remove their shoes before entering StarLab.
  • Visitors sit on the ground. A limited number of folding chairs can be brought inside, as needed.
  • StarLab is wheel-chair accessible.
  • Pictures/images will move and spin during each show. At times, it will be dark inside the dome.
  • Because StarLab is dome-shaped, sounds amplify and echo inside. Participants will be asked to speak quietly when answering questions and sit without talking during the speaker’s presentation.
  • Each show typically lasts 30-40 minutes.
  • StarLab is kept inflated by a large fan. It can be chilly inside.
*Due to the nature of this setting, we ask that families do not bring children under the age of 4.*
